HEALTHY MEAL IDEAS MADE EASY

Over the last few years eating habits have changed most people have ditched healthy whole foods and good old fashioned healthy meals for more fatty easier foods such as ready meals. Our nation is number one in the worldwide obesity rank. Maybe it is time healthy eating should come back into fashion.

Most people seem think cooking healthier meals will take time. Nobody wants to come home from work and start cooking for hours. Healthy meals are quick and easy once you know how.

Have you thought about healthy meal ideas but have not perused them because you aren’t sure of what to make or the type of foods you should be eating.

Well don’t be fooled healthy eating is easy and quick. In my own personal experiences with healthy foods it was daunting. However I soon learnt how to create tasty but simple meals fast and quick and without breaking the bank budget.

I have learnt over the years simple meal ideas that are tasty and healthy that anybody can enjoy. The first healthy meal I cooked was pasta. I stirred in a healthy tomato pasta sauce and served it with chicken and vegetables. This is a meal that everybody loves and is easily adapted to suit everybody’s tastes. It is also a cheap meal to cook.

Other meals you could cook include a simple chicken and vegetable stir fry you simply buy ready chopped vegetables and fry them in a wok and stir in sauce and add chicken. This meal takes a few minutes per plate and tastes delicious.

A healthy breakfast can boost your way back to a healthy diet. Breakfasts such as cereals with oats and wheat in lowers the risk of heart attacks. Eating these types of cereals will boost you way into a more healthy diet.

Over the years I have learnt three overall tips on how to help with improving and creating a more balanced and healthy diet.

Tip number one: Replace white bread with wholegrain bread or bread which looks white but has all the goodness of wholegrain.

Tip number two: Eat three healthy meals a day without skipping meals. This will only make you hungry and make you snack more between meals.

Tip number three: Have a varied diet. Don’t just stick to certain food categories or food you are used to. Experiment with different ingredients.

The key to a healthy diet is variety and balance. Study shows a balanced diet is vital. It is ok to have a chocolate bar as a treat it is all part of a varied balanced diet. Having a balanced diet makes you healthy meal ideas less boring.

Maybe if we all followed these tips Britons obesity problem will reduce.
